I often doodle to myself, using a blank screen as an opportunity to work through a thought and see if it ever deserves to see the light of day or be shared with a broader audience. It's good for the soul to write things you know will never go beyond your own private sphere. It's cathartic to see some of these perspectives in stark black and white.
